Two plaques that have been missing for many years have been returned to the Seth Thomas clock works at the top of MgGraw Tower. Recently Marisa LaFalce, Cornell Chimes program coordinator, received a package containing the missing plaques. They had been mailed in by an Andrew D. White with the following note:
Visitors can still see the 1875 Seth Thomas clock with a 14-foot pendulum, but a computer now operates the clock. In 1999, as part of the restoration of the bells and tower, a global positioning system was linked to the clockworks keeping all four clockfaces correct, up to the second!
